Ree Style is located in Historic Nishi Hachioji City, which is on the West Side of Tokyo. The area was famous as being the gateway and check point into Old Edo (Tokyo) at a time when people were required to carry travel papers issued by the Shogun.

Nishi Hachioji is also at the foot of Mt. Takao. You can see the map for Mt Takao below. You can enjoy The temples, shrines, and natural beauty. There is a monkey park, a chair lift and a cable car, many restaurants with excellent views, and a nice onsen (hot pool). Mt. Takao is considered a sacred location, which was a part of the ancient Shinto practices of mountain mysticism and is still today a place of worship where people go to pray underneath waterfalls for strength and purity. You can arrange your own prayer session underneath the waterfalls by contacting the main shrine and temple.
